The exhibition will present the winning project of the Designblok 2025 Impact Award, the book 1318 Minutes in Kutná Hora, including an authentic installation created specifically for display at Designblok 2025.

The city of Kutná Hora prepared the new photographic publication 1318 Minutes in Kutná Hora especially for the 30th anniversary of Kutná Hora's inscription on the UNESCO list. The book is not intended to be just another book about Kutná Hora, but aims to be a kind of artifact, a work of art that conveys to readers the beauty of architecture and the poetry of everyday life in Kutná Hora.

In the Impact Award category, which recognizes concepts and projects with social or environmental significance, the photographic publication 1318 Minutes in Kutná Hora, capturing a day and night in the city as experienced by any visitor, was successful. The city of Kutná Hora invited the BoysPlayNice photography studio, graphic designers Milan Nedvěd and Laura Morovská, and writer Ondřej Horák to participate in the project. The ORA studio (architecture) and miriki studio (installation construction) collaborated with BoysPlayNice Studio and Milan Nedvěd on the art installation.

"We see the need to highlight the public administration's trust in collaboration with designers, but also the exceptionally high quality of the book and the installation itself. This project can inspire the activities of other municipalities," added Cyril Zammit on behalf of the international jury of Designblok.

We are also honored to present two other great projects nominated alongside the photographic publication in the Impact Designblok 2025 category, namely the Skoba and the Theee.
